Bopath Ella

Sabaragamuwa Province is a province with many waterfalls. One reason for this is the location of Adam’s peak and the lowland mountain range Horton Plains National Park. A beautiful waterfall in the Bent Fellowship, one kilometer from Kuruwita, which belongs to the Ratnapura district.

On the Colombo-Ratnapura road, traveling a kilometer away from the Kuruwita Town Divisional Secretariat, you can go to the entrance to the Bopath Falls. Today, since this area is an open place for tourists every day, small shops and big-sized hotels have been built.

The bloody leaf, 30 feet (98ft) tall, is exactly as if it were falling down in the shape of a sheet of ropes. You have to travel around 200 feet in the foot of your side. It’s a great journey. Similarly, there is no need for tourists as there is a natural pool for safe drinking.

A water flowing through the riverbed from the River brings the necessary water to the bubbling leaf. Bopath Falls is so lovely for the rainy season that more rains get to the mountain of the Samanala. However, as the rain continues to increase, it turns to more beautiful.

The Wilgamuwa Raja MahaViharaya, which is situated near Kuruwita, is located in the vicinity of Kuruwita, as well as the Erathna road which starts from the Sri Pada is also starting from this area and you will not be able to take the time to visit the bend of water.
